The nightly search check now weighs its whole run before it repairs the search index

The nightly search check repairs the search index from the last two days of records. Repairing one batch at a time briefly brought back records that had since been removed, and counted them as drift. The check now weighs its whole run and repairs once. A drift alarm now means a real miss.

The engine

The nightly archive, search and billing checks now finish on busy days

Three nightly checks re-read the last two days of records. On a busy day one run could not finish, and each retry started over. Each check now keeps its place and continues in further runs until both days are covered. An alarm now means no progress, not a long day.

The engine

New stock positions born from a purchase order or a receipt now join every store view

A stock position born when a purchase order was issued, or when goods arrived for a product new to a store, missed the per-store views. The buying desks, the stock reports and the per-store list could not see it. Such positions now join those views from birth.

The engine

The stock-position list now answers one page at a time, for one store when asked

The list of stock positions read every position in the group at once, and on a multi-store retailer it timed out. It now answers a page at a time, with a way to continue, and can read the positions of one store directly. The office, the command line and the assistants use the new shape.

The engine · Command line · Back office · AI assistants

The stock and sales-by-style reports now answer on shops of any size, in pages

Stock on hand, sell-through, shrink and the sales reports by style or department refused groups with thousands of positions. They now read one store at a time and answer in pages that add up. The command line and the assistant gather every page for you. Stock on hand and shrink take one facility.

The engine · Command line · Back office · AI assistants

The dashboard money figures now show their thousands separators

The big sales figure on the dashboard printed its amount without thousands separators, while the line beneath it had them. Every money figure on the dashboard now groups its digits the way the language of your browser writes them.

Back office

Reorder, rebalance and sourcing suggestions now answer for chains of any size

The reorder and rebalance desks used to read every stock position in the shop before they began. A four-store chain hit the time limit. Each desk now reads one store at a time and answers in pages, and can pick up where it stopped. The sourcing order between stores no longer reads stock at all.

The engine · Command line · AI assistants

Our front page says in one breath where we come from and in the next where we are heading

Our front page is rebalanced: one column says where we come from, one where we are heading. A new block says what made for the age of assistants means: headless first, AI first, agentic everything. Another prices a month at four sizes. The words say AlmondTill, and the support plan is named plainly.

Public site

Money totals on the dashboard stay exact when months of history arrive at once

When a shop brings in months of past sales in one go, the money totals of each day are added up as the sales arrive. A sale delivered twice during that rush could be counted twice on a few days. Each sale now counts once however often it is delivered, and the affected days have been recomputed.

The engine

Order counts on the dashboard stay exact on the busiest days

The Open orders count on the dashboard is kept as orders change. On the busiest days, two changes landing at once could lose one and leave the count a little off. Each change now adds to the count in a way that cannot be lost, and a repeat is ignored. The count stays exact at any pace.

The engine

Sales and refunds stay quick as your price and commission history grows

Pricing each line of a sale used to read your whole price history; a refund or cancellation read every commission entry ever recorded. Both now read only what belongs to that item or that order. A shop with years of history rings up and refunds as quickly as a new one.

The engine

The search rebuild from your records now reads them whole

Your search index is a copy we can rebuild at any time, from your activity or from your records themselves. The rebuild from the records now reads every record it lists; its first live run had listed them and read none. Nothing changes in how you work.

The engine

Numbers now read with their thousands separators on every page

Every amount, count and total on every page, report and dashboard now reads with its thousands separators, the way your browser’s language writes them. 423678.48 reads 423,678.48. You can type a separator in an amount box too. Downloads and exports keep plain numbers.

Back office

Search stays rebuildable as your oldest history is archived

Your search index is a copy we can rebuild at any time. Activity older than 90 days moves to cold storage, and the rebuild now counts those days instead of stopping on them. It fills what the cold days held from your records themselves. Nothing changes in how you work.

The engine

Search now finds every record by its reference and its code

Type a record’s reference or its code in the search box and the record is found, however long its name. A promotion, a product or a customer is found by its reference, code, number, email or phone first. The words of its name count after those, so a long name never hides the reference.

Our website now tells where we come from and opens light by default

Our website now tells where we come from and what your assistant can do, and opens light by default. Every page carries one header with a Resources menu: manuals, use cases, presentations and what shipped. Two new pages, Who we are and Honest answers, say it plainly.

Public site

Every role manual gains a chapter on working with your assistant

Every role manual now ends with a chapter on working with your assistant: how to connect, what to ask first and the ready-made questions. The connect page spells out the ChatGPT steps in plain words. A skill for each role is ready for the plugin that is coming to that page.

Back office · AI assistants · Plugins

Your connected assistant now offers a short menu of things to ask

A connected assistant used to start with no hint of what to ask. It now offers five ready-made asks: start my day, what needs my attention, show me a report, walk me through a play and teach me. Each ask is written for your shop and names your own reports and plays.

AI assistants

The suggestions desk now finishes in time and says which checks ran

Selecting Check on the suggestions desk could wait 25 seconds and then fail. Each check now runs on the time the request has. The desk says which checks ran, which stopped early and which wait for the next check, and the board shows what it found so far.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Replies from assistants, partner platforms and webhook addresses are read more safely

When a connected assistant, a partner platform or one of your webhook addresses answers us, we now read its reply exactly as sent. We refuse a compressed reply, stop reading at a fixed size and never follow a redirect. This closes a gap named in the October 21 Node.js security release.

The engine · AI assistants

Long lists you filter or sort now answer quickly, and the buy desk works in steps

Filtering or sorting a long list used to read every record on every page — ten seconds for a shop with ten thousand orders. Each page now reads only what it needs and says when its match count is a floor. The buy-suggestion desk evaluates a large catalogue in bounded steps and says how far it got.

The engine · Command line · Back office · AI assistants

Search now finds purchase orders, receipts, transfers, orders and invoices by their number

Type a document’s number in the search box and the record is found: a purchase order, receipt, transfer, order, invoice, payment or refund. A supplier’s reference on a purchase order and an invoice’s own number are found the same way. A document is found by its number, never by its words.

The engine · Command line · Back office · AI assistants

Your AI assistant now starts by telling you what needs attention and what you can do

Your assistant’s first answer now says who you are, what needs attention, which tasks are yours and what it can do here. The assistant names the acts that stay in the office, with their page. When the shop refuses something, the assistant repeats the shop’s own words and says what to do next.

AI assistants

A dangerous action looks dangerous before you choose it, and a finished record says so

An action that ends or cancels something wears the warning colour on its button, not only on its confirmation. A record at a final status — a completed order, a cancelled purchase order — says “Nothing to do right now” under Actions, and the status strip offers only the steps possible from there.

Back office

Your AI assistant leaves people, devices, payments and new organizations to the office

An assistant with Read and make changes acts within your role, and some acts now stay with the office: adding or inviting a collaborator, resetting a shopper’s password, de-identifying a person, pairing a device, rotating a key, enabling a plugin, setting up Stripe, opening a second organization.

AI assistants

A record offers only the actions it can take now, in plain words

A record’s page now shows only the steps it can take right now — an issued purchase order no longer offers Issue to supplier. Each action is one plain sentence, what happens behind the (?) mark; those that end a record stand apart in the warning colour. When nothing can be done, the page says so.

Back office

The manuals and the use cases are one click from the home page

Every page of www.almondtill.com now carries Manuals and Use cases at the top and in the footer, beside Developer documentation, and the home page has a Learn section naming the manuals, the use cases and the presentations. No detour through the developer pages to find your role’s manual.

Public site

Your AI assistant now knows your role’s jobs — and ChatGPT can search your shop

Connect Claude or ChatGPT and the assistant is told who it works for, where to start and which plays and ready-made reports your role can run — an owner and a cashier get different guidance. ChatGPT can also search your shop’s records and open any one, each with a link to its page in the office.

AI assistants

The manuals are words and screenshots again — the short videos are gone

Every manual at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/ — the owner’s, the six role manuals and How the office works — is back to plain pages: the steps, the screenshots of the office and the figures of the example shop, with no video under the chapters. Nothing else in the manuals changed.

Back office

Claude can now make changes in your shop — with your say-so

Connect your own assistant from Connect your AI assistant — any member of the organization can. Choose Read, or Read and make changes: a change is first shown to you as a rehearsal and happens only when you confirm it, as you, within your own role’s access. Disconnect at any time.

AI assistants

Printing a record’s document works again, and a request that takes too long now says so

Printing a record’s document, a receipt or a report page gave an empty page since October 9 — the sheet prints again. And a request that runs past the service’s 25-second limit now gets a plain message asking for a shorter period, a smaller set or a background report, instead of a silent failure.

Back office · The engine

Short videos of the walks, inside every manual

Every manual at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/ now plays a short video under each chapter — the six other role manuals and How the office works join the owner’s: the pages you will see, with captions and a spoken guide, made from the same example shop as the screenshots.

Back office

Short videos of the owner’s walks, inside the owner’s manual

The owner’s manual at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/owner/ now plays a short video under each chapter: the pages you will see, with captions and a spoken guide, made from the same example shop as the screenshots. Videos for the other manuals follow.

Back office

Presentations for owners, store managers, associates and cashiers, and developers

At www.almondtill.com/for there are now four more short decks you can read in the browser, one for each audience: owners, store managers, associates and cashiers, and developers. Each one walks the role’s own day the way its manual does, with every figure read from the system itself.

Public site

Two presentations, served from the website: what AlmondTill is, and how it compares

At www.almondtill.com/for you can now open two short decks in the browser: what AlmondTill is, and how it compares, feature by feature and price by price, with one kind of point of sale at a time, never named. Every figure is read from the system itself. Nothing changes in how you work.

Public site

Manuals for managers, assistant managers, stylists, cashiers, receivers and tailors

Six more role manuals are live at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/ — for managers, assistant managers, stylists, cashiers, receivers and tailors. Every chapter walks your own part of one task step by step, with screenshots from an example shop, and says plainly when a step is someone else’s.

Back office

Every use case on the docs site now reads like a manual chapter

On docs.almondtill.com each use case now opens with what you will do, the office walk with screenshots where a manual covers it, what you see and what to try; the calls for developers sit tucked below, one click away.

Back office

How the office works — the mechanisms explained once, with pictures

A new manual at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/ explains how the office itself works — the rail, lists, records, wizards, Ask, Aldric, Explore, Insights, Guide and Handbook, courses, profile — with screenshots from an example shop. The role manuals point to it; every use case walks the office first.

Back office

The light and dark switch changes the page at once

On the public site, switching between light and dark now changes the page the moment you press the switch — no refresh needed. Nothing changes in how you work in the office.

Public site

A manual for owners, with screenshots from an example shop

The first of eight role manuals is live at docs.almondtill.com/manuals/ — the owner’s. Every chapter is a use case you can follow step by step, with screenshots of the office and the figures of an example shop. The manuals for the other roles and ‘Your first day’ follow.

AI assistants

Claude can read your shop

AI assistants

The daily fraud check keeps pace on the busiest days

Each morning we look over the previous day’s voids, returns, discounts, approvals, cash differences and chargebacks. The check now reads only what matters, in bounded steps, and scores a day only once it has read all of it, so it keeps pace on the busiest days. Nothing changes in how you work.

The engine

The hourly sign-in safety check keeps pace on the busiest days

We watch for a password proven but never used to sign in, and for a proven credential tried against the wrong company. The hourly check that finds them now reads only what matters, so it keeps pace on the busiest days (it had been running out of time). Nothing changes in how you work.

The engine

A gift card sold to a known shopper can now be looked up and redeemed

When a gift card or store credit was sold on a sale that named the shopper, the card kept the shopper but could not be looked up or redeemed afterwards. It now works everywhere a card is used: the balance check, the till and the office. Nothing to do on your side; the cards already sold work too.

The engine · Back office · Point of sale

Every record’s history stays whole, even on the busiest days

Each change to a record is kept permanently, and a daily check fills in anything the live path missed. That check now keeps pace with the busiest days (it had been running out of time on them). Nothing changes in how you work.

The engine

Brought-in past trading now reads right in every day-by-day view

When we bring a store’s past trading in for them, each record now sits on its own day inside every ledger too — loyalty points, stock cards and receipts read in the order they happened, exactly like the sales and returns beside them. Nothing changes for trading rung up live.

The engine

Past transfers, stock counts, online orders and customers land on their days too

When we bring a store’s past trading in for them, its stock transfers between locations, stock counts, online orders with their deliveries, and customers and loyalty members are recorded on the days they really happened — beside the sales, returns, deliveries and till shifts that already were.

The engine

History that arrives in bulk is placed on the days it happened

When we bring a store’s past trading into the platform for them, every sale, return, delivery and till shift is recorded on the day it really happened, so last year’s reports read as if the store had been with us all along.

The engine

Reports: sales by associate, channel, hour or weekday; returns by reason; stock on hand

Five more ready-made reports under Insights: sales by associate (a sales associate sees their own), by channel or facility, by hour or weekday, returns by reason, and stock on hand as of a day. Sales by category or brand can also group by division.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Reports: save your choices, export long lists, and see the reports meant for your role

On a ready-made report, Save keeps your period, place and other choices under a name, so it runs again in one click from Saved reports. Long lists can run in the background to a file. Each role now sees the reports meant for it; a cashier can run the Z report of the sessions they opened.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Four more reports: sales by style, product, category or brand; sell-through; shrink

Four new ready-made reports under Insights › Reports: sales by style, product or variant; by category or brand; sell-through and days of supply; and shrink by reason. Each takes a period and an axis picked from a list. The daily figures are kept from today on; past months can be rebuilt on request.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Reports: the record search opens only where a list exists

On a report that asks for a record, the search button now appears only for the kinds the office can list — till sessions, gift cards, affiliates and people. For an inventory item, a customer account or a loyalty member, type the record id: the search that could not load is gone.

Back office

Your reports room: fifteen ready-made reports, run from the office

Your reports room: under Insights › Reports, run any of the fifteen ready-made reports — pick a period, place, person or status, press Run, and read the result full-width with its totals. Download it as a CSV file or print it landscape. A report you may not run says why; Build your own sits last.

Back office

Ready-made reports you can run today, by API and from the command line

A catalogue of fifteen ready-made reports — sales activity, average ticket, tender mix, till sessions, receivables, stock movements and low stock, purchase orders and receipts, loyalty, gift cards, commissions, user access and open orders — over your own dates and places. The office page follows.

The engine · Command line

More lists to pick from: task evidence, loyalty tiers, storefront themes and carriers

A task’s evidence kind is picked from a list, not typed. A loyalty member’s tier is offered from their program. A storefront’s theme is a choice of four. The Ship step suggests the eight launch carriers as you type. Unit, locale and country filters offer their exact values.

Back office · The engine

The assistant helps set conditions in a plan, and saved plans show their meaning in words

While you set a step’s conditions in Explore or a report, the assistant turns a plain sentence into conditions. A saved plan, export or search shows its meaning in words, with its definition a click away. Discount kinds and card brands read as words; payout and exchange-rate pages use a date picker.

Back office

Countries, regions, units and languages come from a list, and a review checks your entries

Every address offers the country and its provinces or states from a list, so a typo can never slip in; units of measure and languages are chosen the same way. On a review page, Check my entries asks the assistant to look over what you typed, and a postal code is checked against its region.

Back office

One close button, a way back from every page, and report columns that follow the family

Every pop-up, panel and notice now closes with the same small button, and the buttons under a form sit in one neat line. Jumping from one area to another keeps a way back. The report builder drops the columns a family cannot use and says so, so Run is never stuck, and its columns speak plain words.

Back office

Attached files show their face, and the fill assistant sees every field

Attached files now show a small preview — the picture for an image, the first words for text or CSV, the kind for a PDF — with the name and size. The fill assistant now sees every plain field on a page, person and address blocks and lists included, so phones and emails land where they belong.

Back office · AI assistants

Instant open-orders count, money tiles for any total, clearer pop-ups, actions that fold

The Open orders tile is counted as orders change, so it answers instantly whatever the store’s size; money tiles carry any total; day-based tiles say their days are counted in UTC; every pop-up’s title sits in a clear band; and a record page lists its actions as verbs — press one to open its form.

The engine · Back office

Three fixes: the handbook prints whole, reason boxes fill the form, failed replies say why

Printing the handbook or a document from the browser now gives every page in order, not one page stamped over itself; every reason box and long-text field fills its form’s width; and a failed assistant reply says why — out of time, or too long for one turn — instead of ‘unavailable’.

The engine · Back office · AI assistants

Every page that belongs to a record now says whose it is

Open a stock card, a points ledger, an order’s tenders, a customer’s house account or any other page that belongs to one record, and the page is named for that record: its name in the title and on the way back, its type and code beneath. Before, those pages said only what they were.

Back office

Plans wear their own names, errors stay on their page, and Insights has a door in the rail

A plan Aldric drafts is now named for what it does, and the scratchpad it becomes remembers the conversation it came from. An error or warning message leaves with the page that raised it. And Insights sits in the rail, with your dashboard figures at the top and the dashboards and reports beneath.

Back office · AI assistants

A slow reply is never an error: Aldric keeps your question and says when a check failed

When Aldric takes longer than usual, your question stays where it is and the page keeps looking for the reply instead of calling it an error; sending the same words again never asks the question twice. And when a check Aldric tried did not go through, the reply says so in one plain sentence.

Back office · AI assistants

Forms speak your units: percents, money, groups and a help line under every field

Forms now ask in your words: a percent off is typed as 12.5 with a % beside it, a money amount as 15.00 with its currency shown, an exchange rate as a decimal; related choices sit together in one framed box under its heading; and every box on every form carries a short line saying what it is for.

Back office

Plain words everywhere: plans and reports speak merchant, and dates never break in two

A plan’s values now read as you would say them (USD 19.99 · Percent off · 25% · Yes · Oct 22, 2026), never as code; reports and ledgers speak the same words, Aldric speaks plain words too, and every date or time sits on one line.

Back office · AI assistants

Choose it, don’t type it: every reference field opens a chooser, recent picks first

Wherever a form asks for another record — a brand on a style, a register on a device, the brands a promotion applies to — you now choose it from a list instead of typing its id: in a plan step, on a record’s actions, in every form. Your most recent picks come first, and the list narrows as you type.

Back office

Four fixes: doors, the tutor box, Aldric’s replies and your AI cost

Four fixes: Aldric’s longer replies no longer die at the door; every ‘that refer to it’ door opens again; the tutor’s question box fills its width with Ask below; and the AI usage page shows your cost — what your plan meters — never ours.

The engine · Command line · Back office

The Guide tab leads with how

The Guide tab now leads with how: the steps first, then the plays that start on the page as task rows with an Ask-the-tutor hint and the lesson’s door; the reference detail folds under Details.

The engine · Back office

Your course, as a syllabus

Learn now reads as a syllabus: each shelf shows how far you are, each lesson is one row, and one lesson opens at a time with its steps. Where your rules require lessons, Start here lists them due-soonest first, and the head counts your steps read, certifications and what is due.

Back office

Create what you need, right where you need it

When a chooser has nothing to offer, it now opens the door to add that record on the spot — your form is held while you do, and when the new record is saved you come back with everything you typed still there and the new record already chosen.

Back office

Dig deeper starts the moment you ask

Choosing “Dig deeper” in the search box now lands on the dig itself: your words at the top and the plan drafting at once, shown in place when it lands. The address keeps the plan, so Back, reload or a shared link show the same plan without drafting again. Nothing runs until you say so.

Back office

Notes read newest first, with filters that say what they are

A record’s notes now show the latest first, with the note box at the top and older notes a “Show more” away. The filters are grouped and counted — Kind, State, Labels, People — with switches to hide postponed or done items, and a search box on long threads. Each note is a card in its kind’s colour.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Entries read as money

Every entry’s one-line name now reads as money — USD 4.00 instead of 400 — on tills, payments, refunds, disputes and the ledgers. Older entries are brought to the same words once, in the background.

Back office

Wide tables fold into cards

When a table has more columns than fit on your screen, the extra columns now fold into each row behind a small arrow — open the row and every detail is there. You can also show any table as cards, and the lists of lines inside a record now have the search box and column filters the main lists have.

Back office

Every reference shows its name, and money reads as money

Wherever a record points at another — a line’s item, a count’s location, an option’s group — the back office now shows that record’s name, with its reference tucked beneath. Amounts that used to appear as whole cents now read as money in the record’s currency, such as USD 20.00.

The engine · Back office

Aldric’s plans speak your language

When Aldric drafts records for you, any missing facts are asked in plain words and the plan waits until they are answered. On a scratchpad each step is now a form with the record’s own fields instead of raw text, and the technical details sit behind a button for those who want them.

The engine · Back office · AI assistants

A tidier back office: roomier forms, one close button, grids that line up

The wizard’s documents and drafting cards sit behind one button. Captions breathe above their boxes, long text gets a growing text area, every popup closes the same way, table heads wrap instead of cutting off, column edges you can drag now show, and Notes and History name their record.

Back office

Documents and pasted text reach the wizard again

Sharing a document or pasting text into a wizard’s Documents card, and attaching a file to a note, were refused in the browser by the office’s own security setting since 23 September; names with accents or non-English letters failed too. Both now upload, and the assistant reads what you share.

Back office

Pick sizes and colours from the style grid at the till

At the register a cashier can open a style, see what is available by size and colour, and tap a cell to add one to the sale. The till’s held sales, recent sales and open returns now sort and filter like the office’s lists, and a training reminder shows beside the cashier’s name when a course is due.

The engine · Back office · Point of sale

New items keep to your currency list

Creating an item in one step now checks each price’s currency against the list your organization accepts, as creating a product on its own already did. A price outside that list is refused with the list named, so a new item never carries a currency you cannot trade in.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Currencies come from your organization’s list

Every currency box is now a list of the currencies your organization accepts — money fields, supplier accounts, exchange rates, loyalty and markdown plans, the register’s drawer. An owner sets that list once under Organization › Edit; the platform’s currency registry is the ceiling.

The engine · Command line · Back office

The storage measure lands on busy days

The earlier fix let the daily storage measure finish; it could still lose its place if your account was in use while it measured, and give up until the next quarter-hour. It now re-reads your account and lands the figure anyway — the storage tile fills in after the next daily snapshot.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Your dashboard’s storage figure fills in

The storage figure on your dashboard’s Stats section was not filling in — the daily measure tripped over one record it met twice and stopped short. We fixed the measure; the storage tile fills in after the next daily snapshot, for those who hold the billing reads.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Your dashboard draws its charts

Your dashboard now draws charts — sales by day, the tender mix and the organizations ranked by sales — grouped into Sales, Inventory, Customers, Operations and Stats, with sales today and this week compared against last week and every organization called by its name. Money shows in major units.

The engine · Command line · Back office · Public site

Record counts, usage and storage on your dashboard

Your dashboard can now show the record counts that matter — styles, products, variants, items, customers, orders, returns, users, roles, registers, devices and facilities — active and all, counted once a day. Those who hold the billing reads also see this month’s API calls, AI calls and storage.

The engine · Command line · Back office

Sales by day, the tender mix and returns on your dashboard

Your dashboard can now show sales by day, transactions by day, returns by day, the tender mix and sales by organization over the last thirty days, each a day-by-day table per currency. Sales this week now means the last seven days by UTC day, read from a daily ledger kept as sales happen.

The engine · Command line · Back office

A dashboard on the landing, cut to what your role can read

The office landing now opens on a Dashboard when your role can read at least one of its figures: sales, open orders, stock, service cases, reviews, signups and units sold by day over the last thirty days. Figures your role may not read are left out; a saved layout can be made the landing.
